There once was a girl named Tomato.
Little Tomato was different than most girls.
All the girls were called fruit,
All the boys were called vegetables.
Not many knew that Tomato was a girl:
She seemed like a boy.
Tomato accepted her differences,
But it didn't make her any less boy-ish.
One day, Tomato's gym teacher placed her
on the wrong team
(of course!)
All the other children laughed;
Tomato didn't fit in.
There once was a girl named Tomato.
Little Tomato held her head high,
and with her chin up, proclaimed:
" I am a fruit!"
And she was a fruit.
This is just a little story I wrote, inspired by Tim Burton. It's not finished; I have some editing I'd like to do, but it's a rough draft. I've been writing a lot lately, so I'll be posting some stuff. My writing will range from opinionated pieces to fantasy poems. It will be a huge variety of writing, so brace yourselves.
